Let’s spread the word about World Cerebral Palsy Day this October 6th, 2019.
“World Cerebral Palsy Day is a movement of people with Cerebral Palsy and their families, and the organisations that support them, in more than 75 countries. Our vision is to ensure that children and adults with Cerebral Palsy (CP) have the same rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in our society. It is only together, that we can make that happen.”
How can you help?
Well, I was invited to be an ambassador to this amazing organization to help spread awareness around their campaign, #CPMoveAsOne, where at 1pm wherever you are in the world, we want you to get moving! Whether that’s through dance, swim, yoga, or walking— you choose your favorite activity! We want anyone and everyone out there to take part in this global experience.
So please feel free to reflect on what this day means to you and you might want to do for World CP Day over the next few weeks and share online how you’ll get moving on the day of! Use hashtags, #WorldCPDay, #CPMoveAsOne & #cpstrong in all of your posts so we can see your awesomeness! You can also follow us & tag @WorldCPDay & @cerebralpalsystrong on Instagram.
Still want to help but can’t get movin’?
Great! We need all the help we can get to spread the the word. You can do that by sending this post to anyone who may want to get involved.
📣I want to feature you!
For those of you who have CP or other disabilities and want to share a bit about what this day means to you on CPstrong’s social channels, please send the following to katy@cerebralpalsystrong.com by October 6th:
1. a photo or video of you doing your favorite activity and 2. a brief description of what you’ll be doing for World CP Day and why. I’ll share it as post across our channels as well as a story on Instagram. By sharing with the CPstrong community, you may be reposted by World CP Day as well across their social media channels.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend, my friends!
